Registration for spring Like Skills Experience classes opens on January 22nd. The First Tee of West Texas Golf and Life-Skills program will begin March 18th and will run for 8 weeks ending on May 7th. This program is for girls and boys starting at PLAYer level only. There will be two classes held each week and your child will only attend one class weekly, either on Wednesday or Thursday evening. Each class is limited to 20 participants.

Class Location

Classes for the Spring will be held at Nueva Vista Golf Club and Hogan Park Golf Course in Midland. Classes will start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m.

Payment Information

The fee for the entire 8 week program is $95.00 per participant and $85 for an additional sibling meeting the minimum age (7) requirement and is due at the time of registration. If your participant has golf clubs they are welcome to bring them. If not we will provide a set or offer a shared set for them to use throughout the entire program session for a one-time fee of $10. Financial aid is available. No participant will be turned away due to inability to pay.

When registering a sibling, you will need to apply for financial aid and enter the discounted amount in the field that says “Amount You Are Willing to Pay, if Any”.

Life skills experience

The First Tee Life Skills Experience is the core curriculum of The First Tee program. Participants progress through the various levels of the program by demonstrating knowledge learned during classes. Participants learn how to apply The First Tee Nine Core Values in real-life situations while they are learning golf skills that are targeted to their age and ability. Participants certify out of each level by completing the required number of class hours and passing written and skills tests. The levels of The First Tee program are listed below.

ACE 2-Year program where participants set goals for college and career as well as how to give back to their community.Must be 14 years old or entering 9th grade. N/A
